Cinnaminson Basketball Group Travel program will now provide athletes with higher abilities the opportunity to play with his/her peers in a very competitive situation. South Jersey Travel basketball is very competitive. Therefore the process for selecting players is competitive, and involves independent evaluators who rate the candidates based on various individual skills, and team play criteria.
Our purpose is to prepare young men and women to compete for positions on the High School Basketball teams.
Each team will have two tryout dates. The player trying out must attend a minimum of 1 session. We encourage each player to attend both.
The more the coaches and evaluators can see their skills the better opportunity the player has to make the team.
*You must pre-register on line before your tryout. This is for insurance purposes.
* CBG Travel basketball is for Cinnaminson residents ONLY.
*Tryouts will begin in late September. Look for email shortly or check back for updated information on this site.
*Teams will be set by grade 4th grade through 8th grade. Depending on #'s.
*Teams will be set with 8-10 players. Younger teams could hold up to 12 players.
*Players will play in their grade level only. No player will ever play up.
Once teams are formed, travel coaches have relatively broad discretion with respect to how they distribute minutes among their players. Practices are mandatory, not optional. Players not attending practices should not anticipate playing time in games and could be subject to dismissal from the team.
CBG Travel Teams play in the South Jersey Basketball League (Click Here) for the boys and in the Inter-County Basketball League (Click Here) for the girls.
Good Sportsmanship is essential. Coaches, players and parents must maintain good sportsmanship at all basketball events. If an issue does arise at a game, it needs to be addressed immediately with the Head Coach and if needed the Commissioner. .
Uniforms are not included in cost. $95 per Child ( Reversible Uniform, Shooter Shirt, Socks, Reversible Practice Jersey) We are looking into only doing Uniforms every other year to keep cost down. We can also look into doing a Travel Fundraiser to help offset cost. If any parent or group of parents are interested in being on a Fundraiser Committee for the CBG. Let us know.
Coaching Positions are contingent upon successful completion of a background check and online Concussion Course.
