Dear Cinnaminson Families,
We would like to thank Steve for all of his hard work over the years and his commitment to Cinnaminson Basketball. We look forward to working with him in this transition year.With that being said, we are looking forward to the upcoming basketball season. Beginning the first week of October, we will host the travel tryouts. We have also begun planning for the intown and clinic programs as well. We are very excited for what the future holds for this program and our players.This year’s travel tryouts will have independent evaluators to make sure all kids get a fair chance to make a travel team. We hope to have a competitive tryout for all boys and girls grades 4-8. In addition to the travel program, we hope to hold intown program for boys and girls grades 3-6 and clinics for K-2.As Steve mentioned in his post to everyone, we are working on restructuring the program and making some changes. In this transition, we will have a basketball committee that we will transition into a board as we move forward. We are currently working on gathering possible training opportunities, revamping the structure of the clinic sessions, and hopefully more exciting things to help develop the kids’ skills and experience in the program!!!!It is important to stress to the parents that this program works 100% on volunteers. We encourage parents to step up and help out as much as they can. I know for a fact that being a parent and helping out is not only personally rewarding but also very exciting for the kids.
